Face-to-Face versus Online Agricultural Courses: An Analysis of Preferences, Challenges, and Non-Adaptability

Short-term agricultural courses equip participants with marketable knowledge through an amalgamation of theoretical lectures and hands-on workshops. As time has progressed, many have transitioned heavily away from traditional classroom settings into digital mediums. A survey was conducted at Convocation Expo during the Agricultural Clinic session UPM Bintulu Sarawak Campus. About 156 surveys were evaluated, results showed that, despite potential challenges lack adaptability, our preferred online agriculture over face-to-face learning. Many respondents (34.88%) agreed they would not sign up for farming course because didn't believe in outcomes (34.88%), fees too high (30.23%), learning platform inefficient (16.28%), there a relevance to current practices (16.28%). Moreover, sessions (61.54%), preoccupation marketing strategies (11.54%), familiarity internet's functionalities (11.54%) all cited as reasons inadaptability impracticality Nearly half (47.44%) indicated preference free training, but just 37.18% be willing do so (provided fee less than RM100). The proliferation classes across several platforms made education more accessible ever before, long recorded are archived online. However, without appropriate information or referral professional experts, their operations continue plagued by technical difficulties.
